We're in Washington!
We have began our new journey! We left Tuesday afternoon and drove through the day until we reached a little south of Fresno. We pulled in for the night and had a rest. I was not much of a road trip partner because I kept feeling my eyes get heavier and heavier. I think it was due to the fact that I hadn't had time to be tired for the last couple of weeks because we had been too busy, so my body took full advantage of the time spend in the car. Josh was a trooper though and just let me sleep away. I slept through LA traffic which is nice because it always stresses me out. So then on Wednesday our goal was to make it to Northern California but we made it there and decided to keep on trucking. Duke was amazing in the car. He stayed in the backseat most of the time and just quietly rode along. When the opportunity was available he jumped into the front seat. We found out that he does not like semi trucks that have things loaded on the back that you can see. He growled ferociously at them...and I'm pretty sure he scared them. Haha. So we ended up stopping the next day in Medford Oregon and it was a really nice town to stop in. We slept and then got ready the next day to get right back in the car once again. We both just wanted to be done with the whole driving thing so we trucked all the way up to Washington (and by we I mean Josh). Once again I was compelled to take a nap or maybe two. We pulled up to Josh's buddies house and went out to dinner with he and his wife Morgan. It was delicious. They were gracious enough to let us stay with them. So that ended out road trip. I will post more about what we have done since we have been here at a later time. It has been a busy day so now it is time for a little R&R. I will chat with you all soon!

ReplyDeleteSo bummed I missed you before you left, but I am so in love with the idea of you blogging. Great idea!..Miss you already, old friend.
ReplyDeleteJust south of FRESNO!! GIRLIE! THAT IS WHERE I LIVE. so sad. But I understand. You were traveling with a purpose: stopping late and starting early I'm sure. Still... you were so close I could have touched you! And you could have held my baby. And I could have rubbed your tummy. ;) Love you!
