Our campsite!
Thank God we bought that canopy!
Cool shot of the fog!
Group Shot. Duke kept looking away...
Cheers- don't worry folks my drink is the water
We had to cook dinner underneath the tent because it was raining so hard
Hiking up to the falls! What a beautiful sight! Glad I didn't venture on too much further!
The boys feeling high and mighty!
We went camping this last weekend at the beautiful Sol Duc campground! It was a blast even though it rained the entire time. I sure am glad that we bought a canopy and that we had rain gear. It was so much fun to get away and go and spend some time in nature. We went with Ryan and Morgan and ARod and the little pups. They had such a great time. I realy enjoyed myself. I will be adding some other pictures soon!

Settling Down...

Life has seem to be settling down lately which I must admit is nice. It is nice to just relax and breathe and watch tv and hang out. Josh is getting settled at work and believe it or not we finally were able to see a doctor. It's about time. We were assigned a midwife-that's how they do it here, and she came in and checked everything and it was said that everything looked fine which was a nice relief. We then got to see the little munchkin on the ultrasound and it was pretty surreal. It was weird to think that that little tiny baby was growing inside of me...crazy. so we were told that we can come back on Oct 5th at 9 am to find out the sex of the baby. That will be an exciting time in our lives.
This weekend Josh and I are going to go camping. We are heading out with Ryan, Morgan and ARod...Sara is back home with Jamie for a while. We will also be bringing along the three little pups with us. It said it is supposed to rain this weekend, but who knows. We will have fun regardless. We are also coming up on our 1 year anniversary. I am beyond excited. We have been asking around for ideas for what to do...and have heard a couple good ones so hopefully we will find something that we both enjoy doing.
The other day we had some more marriage bonding (as some of you know the first time we had designated time to bond we waxed josh's truck) and this time we went golfing. He is getting back into it and so I went and rode around on the golf cart with him while he played. Haha. I am looking forward to my time to plan some marriage bonding time. haha. Well we have to run to the store to get ready for the camping trip. I shall see you soon my friends!

I'm Back!!!

Oh man I haven't known what to do with myself with no internet, but no need to fear because it is finally hooked up. So to catch up...where do I begin. We moved into our place on Wed the 25th and our stuff came on the 26th. The 25th we were busy getting what we had with us situated and painting. Well Josh painted and I watched. We have a red wall in the kitchen, two gray walls in the living room and will eventually have a green wall in our bedroom. Then on Thurs we worked long and hard getting stuff put away. It actually felt good. It felt like this place was becoming our new home. So then we treated ourselves to the Luke Bryan concert that night at the fair with Ryan and Morgan. So much fun! We still have some boxes to unpack but they are dwindling down. Josh reported back to work on the 1st which was a wake up call for Mr. 30 days of leave. He has been introduced to everyone in the shop so far and says that it is a lot different than the ship. Duke is adjusting well. He hangs out with me and we go on walks around the neighborhood or to the dog park. The other morning he scared me. As I let him out to go to the bathroom he decided to chase after the two deer that were grazing by our neighbors house...I had to call after him and chase him to get him to come back...then all day he sat by the door and cried because he wanted to go play with the deer. haha. We have made a few purchases which we are excited about. We bought a crock pot (so if you have any receipes feel free to send them my way) and a washer and dryer, a dining room table and other little knick knacks for around the house. I love living here so far. It has been a huge blessing.  We are also excited we get cable tomorrow...so far we have just watched a lot of movies from the RedBox. haha.
We have spent a lot of time with our friends. We were blessed. Josh worked with Ryan down in San Diego they were on the same ship and he and his wife and litle dog live up here and they have been a huge help in adjusting and helping us get to know the place. Josh also worked with Sara and ARod in San Diego and they have a little girl Jaime and a small dog as well, so it has been fun to get to know them and spend time with them. Sara is a few weeks farther along than I am so that has also been neat because I am able to ask her any questions that I may have.
I do miss my family. I can't wait to see them. We are trying to figure out when exactly that will happen, but believe me I am looking forward to it! Well thats it for now...I have to get back to my list of goals for the day...dealing with APU being number 1....eww.
