Oh man I haven't known what to do with myself with no internet, but no need to fear because it is finally hooked up. So to catch up...where do I begin. We moved into our place on Wed the 25th and our stuff came on the 26th. The 25th we were busy getting what we had with us situated and painting. Well Josh painted and I watched. We have a red wall in the kitchen, two gray walls in the living room and will eventually have a green wall in our bedroom. Then on Thurs we worked long and hard getting stuff put away. It actually felt good. It felt like this place was becoming our new home. So then we treated ourselves to the Luke Bryan concert that night at the fair with Ryan and Morgan. So much fun! We still have some boxes to unpack but they are dwindling down. Josh reported back to work on the 1st which was a wake up call for Mr. 30 days of leave. He has been introduced to everyone in the shop so far and says that it is a lot different than the ship. Duke is adjusting well. He hangs out with me and we go on walks around the neighborhood or to the dog park. The other morning he scared me. As I let him out to go to the bathroom he decided to chase after the two deer that were grazing by our neighbors house...I had to call after him and chase him to get him to come back...then all day he sat by the door and cried because he wanted to go play with the deer. haha. We have made a few purchases which we are excited about. We bought a crock pot (so if you have any receipes feel free to send them my way) and a washer and dryer, a dining room table and other little knick knacks for around the house. I love living here so far. It has been a huge blessing. We are also excited we get cable tomorrow...so far we have just watched a lot of movies from the RedBox. haha.
We have spent a lot of time with our friends. We were blessed. Josh worked with Ryan down in San Diego they were on the same ship and he and his wife and litle dog live up here and they have been a huge help in adjusting and helping us get to know the place. Josh also worked with Sara and ARod in San Diego and they have a little girl Jaime and a small dog as well, so it has been fun to get to know them and spend time with them. Sara is a few weeks farther along than I am so that has also been neat because I am able to ask her any questions that I may have.
I do miss my family. I can't wait to see them. We are trying to figure out when exactly that will happen, but believe me I am looking forward to it! Well thats it for now...I have to get back to my list of goals for the day...dealing with APU being number 1....eww.
